«Gåve» is a feminine noun.

Kanskje denne skåla.

Maybe this the bowl.

Maybe this bowl.

«Denne» means «this». The noun following «denne» must be in definate form.

As you can see from the ending «-a», skål is a feminine noun.

God ide. Ho er fin.

Good idea. She is good looking.

Good idea. It looks nice.

Because «skål» is a feminine noun, we use the female pronoun «ho» to refer to it.

Enig. Og tanta mi pleier å like mønster av denne typen.

Agree. And the aunt of mine use to like patterns of this the type.

I agree. And my aunt usually likes patterns like this.

Here again, «typen» has definate form because it follows the word «denne». Do you see what the gender of «type» is?

Eg skal kjøpe nokre nye skeier.

I will buy some new spoons.

I will buy some new spoons.

«Skei» is a feminine noun.

«Nye» is plural form of «ny», and «nokre» is a plural form of «nokon». But don't worry too much about this yet. We will look more at adjectives later.

Eg kjøper denne pakken.

I buy this the package.

I buy this package.
